SIDE NOTE: During trunk shows there might be incentives and exclusive deals. So those weekends book up fast! Be sure to book your shopping appointment well in advance.
PRO TIP: When hoping to shop trunk shows take an extra moment to preview the designers website of the trunk show you want to attend. This will help you decide if those are some of the styles you want to preview. There will be hundreds of other dresses to choose from everyday but if you are interested in a specific designer and or a specific trunk show be sure to book well in advance! You never know this could really help with your bridal gown selection.
EXPERT TIP: We can offer measurement references to make sure they will be just the right fit for you! When scheduling an appointment during a trunk show to preview a specific designers collection, keep an open mind. You might be over-the-moon for a specific dress by a specific designer but if that one isn’t ‘the one’ don’t fret! There are 200-300 gowns to choose from at any given time here at Ready To I Do!

If you want to select a gown featuring the latest and greatest fashion trends, be sure to schedule your appointment with Ready To I Do. Trunk show dresses are the only gowns unavailable off the rack. To ensure a fantastic experience (especially when shopping trunk shows) be sure to leave yourself a 6-12 months lead time before your wedding. While we stock the best dresses and the latest wedding dress styles and trends, trunk shows are a great way to be the first to try on next season and next years bridal gowns.

As we welcome you to the trunk show page of Ready To I Do, might we take just a moment to share what a trunk show is, for those who may not know. Being totally forthcoming the bridal shopping experience can be similar to learning a new language. Well gloss over some bridal terms at the bottom of this page. As for now lets dive into what exactly IS a trunk show. A trunk show by name is a literal or figurative trunk shipped around the country from store-to-store. This trunk or trunks carry a full line of a designers latest collection of gowns. This is the respective designers way of getting their collections seen by brides and bridal consultants alike.
If you haven’t ever heard of the following terms before, you are not alone!
A-line- a dress that flares out at the natural waist- this is referring to a dress shape, or the silhouette.
Bodice- the top part of the dress- this part usually covers the chest and waist as well as the back.
Illusion- this is where there is lace or fabric but the brides skin shows through.
Mermaid- a dress that hugs the waist and hips and flares out at the knee- this is referring to a dress shape, or the silhouette.
MOB- acronym stands for Mother Of the Bride
MOH- acronym stands for Maid Of Honor
Peek-a-boo- similar to illusion, there are peeks of skin- can be on the sides around the mid section or the back.
Ruching- this is where fabric is laying in an overlapping position.
Train- when the bottom edge of the back of the dress extends several inches to several feet.
Trumpet- a dress that hugs the waist and hips and flares out above the knee- this is referring to a dress shape, or the silhouette.

This could be used for ordering your bridesmaids dresses, a dress for rehearsal dinner, welcome party, etc.. Simply download, print, and follow the included instructions to measure yourself, being sure not to over-tighten while measuring. The rule of thumb is dresses are easier to take in rather than let out. By having an idea of your measurements beforehand, you could make your fitting experience even more efficient and enjoyable, ensuring that every dress you try on is a step closer to finding the one that feels like it was made just for you.
